First time at Roast and Rice Kitchen It was amazing! The service was impressive, they suggested some popular sushi. The menu was large lots of choices besides sushi. Water and Tea refilled without asking. Sushi was delicious even order a roll not on the menu. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. They did not rush us out and even suggested a dessert. I will be back soon.

I walked here from my hotel. I don't recommend that but I do recommend this restaurant. Very unassuming. The menu is huge and has something for everyone. Staff is so friendly. I had the duck and rice. I asked for broccoli in it. It came on the side but that is fine. I also had a glass of Chardonnay. The duck was perfectly cooked and everything tasted so fresh. I asked for hot sauce and that did the trick. My friend's stomach was upset so she got the tofu soup and a side of rice. It arrived piping hot. She said it was great. Highly recommend this casual restaurant.

I enjoyed my meal here , especially the roast duck over rice. I've had roast duck in South East Asian cuisine many times but it was the first time I've had it deboned for me. The flavors were accurate and the texture was just right it is my favorite dish The spicy mango vodakrita was also tasty and very smooth. I enjoyed the spicy tuna rice cake very much and it's one of the better ones I've had in SFV! We also got soft shell crab burger and salmon lover roll and they were alright but the ones above were stars of the show! I think their fusion concept is executed well and for Westlake Village they kept many flavors pretty traditional and accurate yet with their own creative twists.

I had the following for take out Khao Soi noodle. 4/5 a little too sweet Hainan Chicken 3/5 not bad for the area, but could be more tender and juicy. Sauce is good, but no ginger scallion sauce unfortunately Crispy Chicken 2/5. Breading just not that great. Duck over rice 5/5. Just great and the spicy soy sauce was yummy.

Cute little spot in WLV! I really liked the decor of this place. The service was good - waters always full. The menu was interesting as it had Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine. Our server wasn't very knowledgeable when I asked about the menu saying it was our first time at this restaurant. We ended up ordering the avocado green curry ($20) with a side of rice ($3) and the drunken noodles ($16). Both were good but very salty. It didn't occur to me after the meal but made sense seeing how much water I drank during the meal. The flavors were good overall and the ingredients were fresh. It wasn't my fav restaurant on an Asian front but it was solid.

Came in to place an order to go. A near by restaurant missed my order while dining with a friend so instead of waiting additional time there, I left and walked here instead! Ordered a lycheetini while I placed my to go order and loved it so much I ordered a second drink to try as well-- you know, to compare the two!! I was so impressed with the use of fresh fruit in my drinks and they were so delicious, found them both to be unique and refreshing. To eat, I took home an order of Japanese scallop sushi, masago sushi, albacore sushi, and a real crab hand roll. It was all perfect, and it helped resolve my sushi craving for the night!

Delicious! I didn't know this was the same owners as Exotic Thai until I visited and saw the same server. Bee is always very helpful And cheerful In getting our orders. This location has lots of varieties of different Thai dishes . I especially love the soups, especially the Tom Kha noodle soup. We also ordered drunken noodles and the popcorn chicken for appetizers. Mango sticky rice for dessert. Amazing cuisine and ambiance. Would definitely come back again.

Westlake Village might not be the first place you'd expect to find a low-key temple to bold Thai flavors, but Roast and Rice is rewriting the script. This bar-meets-eatery serves up my go-to papaya salad, Issan sausage, and an impeccably tender Hainan chicken that proves simplicity can still steal the show. And they don't shy away from spice--thankfully. But the real curveball? The Tom Yum cocktail. Imagine the essence of a classic hot and sour soup distilled into a drink--refreshing, tangy, and just enough heat to keep your palate guessing. It's the kind of spot you walk into for dinner and end up lingering well past your first drink.

Went here for the first time on a Saturday night and it was pretty good! This place is a mixture of Japanese-Thai fusion. My two faves. For a drink, I tried the lychee martini, I believe all the cocktails are soju based since they don't have a liquor license. It was still tasty! I'm a fan of soju. And we all shared the California rolls - decent. The crispy spicy tuna rice rolls - I thought the rice was burnt, it made it hard to eat but the taste was good. Garlic edamame - well tossed in the sauce and had garlic bits. And we ordered the coconut soup and pad Thai - both delicious!
